Tom Uren AO (1921-2015)
Chair of the Parramatta Park Trust, first appointed 2001. Tom Uren was a former senior Minister in the Whitlam and Hawke governments. He was an advocate for social and environmental issues including Sydney Harbour and public lands. In 1997 he was recognised as a National Living Treasure by the National Trust. His advocacy for and protection of Parramatta Park was outstanding.
